Just wondering as this MacBook Pro is the 14” October 2021 model with the M1 Pro Chip, oddly it has no USB-A ports and only has USB-C ports. And the advice is not to use USB hubs or adapters to do firmware updates. But I had no other choice as this is the only computer I have.
I bought the Apple USB-C adaptor initially to connect my phone or iPad. Then I bought a hub when it came to do the update, but by the time it was delivered, TB had pulled the update. I bought another USB-C to USB-A adaptor from Amazon and tried that, but no joy, and tried different USB-C ports on the Mac too.
Now I tried the update again as it said on iPhone App that there was an update (annoying how it won’t let you in to the iPhone app at all when there is an update) but when I connected headset and transmitter to my Mac and opened Audiohub it said it was up to date which was BS as iPhone app said my firmware was 3.11 and the new firmware was up to 4.11.
So I pressed the reset button on the bottom of the transmitter and it said to update firmware and it gets to 98% and then says headset is on recovery mode and to press and hold the power and mode buttons for 5 seconds and click the ‘Try Again’ button and the update will resume (yeah right) it just sits there at 0%, and it first this every single time. Headset LED is just solid red, it never turns green now even when I disconnect cables and try powering it up.
So that was it my headset is no more. Useless garbage for £279.99. So sending back to Amazon for a refund.
They say this was the king of headsets, if this is the best they do, then god help us.
