I'm mildly amused by how my Tunisian relatives use Facebook

Half-Tunisian from the US, just got back recently after a three week trip. I didn't have any social media, but decided to make a FB profile so I could keep in touch with my relatives there. I've been amused by my experiences so far on there: I've had a few relatives who miss my friend request completely but talk to me on Messenger (and to this day haven't accepted me), while others will message me, start a convo, and then apparently never open the message again. Then there are a few others who never see my message to begin with (for example, I messaged an aunt with some old pics I found recently and she still hasn't seen them, despite being active on FB pretty often). Basically, I'm being left on "delivered", not even "read", ha

Again, I just find it amusing more than anything, because I know they're not intentionally doing anything malicious, and I can't help but laugh when a cousin messages me with "How's it going man" and then just never looks at the messages again after I respond

All that said, I really miss being there. Despite the mess, despite the headaches and problems you find there, I've really fallen in love with the country as I've gotten older and plan on being back during my winter break
