So for those who have made it to the point of trying to solve The Door of the Mountain, you may have come to the solution or you may not have. Reading beyond this point spoils the solution (or rather, the solution to the solution) of said puzzle, so reader beware.
While trying to solve the puzzle on Page 49, you end up needing Page 9. Page 9 is all about the Data Management for the game. How to Save, Load, Continue, etc. Most people who play this game are probably only going to start up their one file and just play it through using the Continue option, however, if you decide to Load a file instead, you are given a prompt to Load, Delete, or Cancel. If you back out and cancel, a new Save File appears, loading this new file will give you the solution to Page 9 and that's about all there is.
Seriously, this is just a small, infinitely looping hallway.
Except it isn't. Hiding behind this room is something a bit special. Normally, all you can do is walk up and down this hallway, smashing pots as you go, but if you open up your Instruction Booklet for this file, you conveniently have the page for Consumable Items. Looking at this page, you can see three squares next to the three types of bombs in the game. One for ice, another for explosives, and a final one for fire pots. Each square is a Holy Cross puzzle to give yourself 1 bomb of that type. Now with the inventory available to the secret file, self-damage, nevermind death, was impossible. With this new Fire Bomb in our possession, we can lob it at a wall and set ourselves in fire. Fire damage lasts forever unless you dodge multiple times, so we just sit here until the fire burns us alive.
After respawning, I figured I'd end up back in the infinite hallway, but much to my surprise, I found myself in what looked like a Alpha/Beta version of the game abound with very flat textures, unfinished AI, static enemies, and most of the map and loading zones missing. I couldn't figure out what I could do do here besides collect a few gems worth 100 coins each (paltry numbers compared to the 50 Million this files has).
And sadly this is where my investigation has ended. If anyone knows anything about what to do next, please leave a comment. I'm super curious about this area.
