Help me with this name of movie

So I can’t remember the name of this foreign film. I only made it 37 mins into it on Tubi. Basically a man knocks up a woman who is 25 and doesn’t want to marry her. He tell her a secret about him killing someone in a car crash and spent 18 months in prison for it. She loves him but he wants nothing to do with the child. His name I believe is Phillipe. His dad lives in Paris and tells her you both are grown and made the decision to have sex so…. Her last name is like Slate or something like that. The story was being told from her daughters words.. Please help.
