"Getting better with age" is a horrible life strategy and should only be used if necessary
Post Body

I could understand if you have delayed puberty, come from a poor or abusive home, have learning problems, or some other extreme circumstance that makes it difficult to live the life you want to when you are young, but seriously come on. When you're young (along with everyone else you know), you *and they* have more free time, less responsibilities, less baggage from relationships etc.

When you're in your 30's and 40's, everyone that you would have known has either left your home town, started a family, had a divorce and as a result is a single parent, or is in shit loads of debt. Your friendships will be superficial at best, your romantic options will be limited aside from casual sex if you just happen to age really well and the psychological and emotional impact of having missed out on so much during your prime years will leave you depressed and constantly looking back.

I should add that late is better than never but it's not the optimal way to live your life.
