The war in Ukraine made Russia stronger, not weaker

Post Body

This war had a similar effect to ww2 when a large but disfunctional Russian military was reforged in the fires of battle into the greatest army in the world.

Russia now has a bigger, more functional and capable force with more vehicles, missiles, jets and drones. It lost its fancy tank formations but we've seen blitzkrieg tactics create easy targets in modern battlefield.

In effect Russia is now ready for ww3, certainly more so than before the war, possibly outclassing what NATO has if nukes or other game changing weapons such as EMPs get involved. It is similar to Germany's battles in Spain and Poland before facing France, giving it more peer combat experience than its adversaries, a key advantage.

It's not over. Until a surrender/peace/withdrawal treaty is signed or a DMZ is established and fortified any estimation of the legitimate long term effects is raw spin. The last time a comparable situation happened we still thought Venus was a tropical paradise. We just plain don't have any legitimate reference points.
