Back at it again with another unpopular opinion, based on a discussion in another sub.

Here we go:

The same celebrities who were screaming from the hilltops “I’m fat and I’m proud, I’m beautiful just the way I am, I’m not unhealthy” are the same celebrities who are now taking Ozempic saying “I feel more free than I ever did, my body feels better, and I’m more beautiful than I’ve ever been”.

Even Lizzo is on that shit, and a couple years ago I woulda thought she’d die on that hill.

The corpos lined their pockets with fat people’s money by selling them on the idea that they didn’t need to change, and then selling them all kinds of clothing and products specifically for “plus sized” people.

And now, they want to sell all of those same fat people on the “miracle med” that will cure all of the problems that conveniently, corpos and their celebrity marketers are willing to address, albeit from a positive light. “I feel better than I ever have” is just marketing code for “you must feel like shit, take Ozempic”.

Diet and exercise, people. They want to sell you an injection that’ll ruin your gastrointestinal system just so they can sell you another one to fix it in a few years, mark my words.
