This opinion is specifically unpopular amongst Christians. Was talking about this in another post, figure it deserves its own.
Raised Baptist. Hereās my take.
ā God is supposed to know every hair on your head, everything that has been, and everything that will be.
ā People go to hell, why?
a. God is NOT all knowing, or by extension all powerful
b. God predestines people for hell, and thus is evil.
Furthermore, if God knows the future, and he creates me KNOWING everything Iāll do out of āfree-willā: sounds a hell of a lot like Determinism to me.
There would only be one possible course for my life, the one that God foresaw.
At no point could I make a decision that would, by my nature, the very nature he created, deviate from his plan.
If I come to Christ, it is only as he crafted me and knew so. If I burn in hell, it is only as he crafted me and knew so. This goes for everybody.
