Let's first exclude physically abusive relationships. Those relationships should always be left as soon as humanly and safely possible.

I'm talking moreso about those relationships where there's a lot of pointless arguments and maybe even a tiny bit of name calling.

Is constantly arguing bad? Absolutely! Buy.. it can also be a warm up to making up if you know what I mean.

Once you have the cathartic release of negative emotion, good sex can help you both relax and maybe even provide a physical way to take out your stress towards each other while also connecting emotionally.

I think as long as you're able to communicate how you feel verbally, sex just becomes a physical form of communication as well.

What's worse?

1. Constant fighting and no sex/bad sex

2. Constant fighting that ends with communication and very good almost animalistic sex

If I was in that situation, I'd rather have number two. Number one just sounds like a miserable way to exist in a relationship.
