I swear in the past few days I’ve seen multiple posts of people bitching about others filming in the gym.
If someone’s filming there workout and im in the background of there video who cares? I really don’t understand the outrage.
Unless someone’s being a dick head about it acting like u can’t get in the way of there shot or they’re purposely filming u, I really don’t get why people get to up and arms about it.
Ya it may be cringy, and ya you may find it weird…ok…and? If it aint directly effecting u, besides you finding it to be cringe, then just move on.
I also find the hypocrisy in a lot of the outraged folk. Because I guarantee they follow some fitness influencers, and what do u think they all do???? Film in the gym…
So it’s ok to film yourself as long as you’ve made it, but if you’re trying to build a following and need to film it’s not ok because u don’t have a fan base yet.
The problem is an epidemic of people trying to implicate others in various etiquette breaches doing it. On either side of the camera. When people film it instantly creates an air of mistrust and tension because either the person filming or a person being filmed may end up becoming a target of accusations and social media lambasting.
When you put this type of situation in the middle of very fired up individuals it makes the environment more unwelcoming than it needs to be.
