Here are my claims:

1. Leftists have been conditioned to unceremoniously dismiss any information that comes from any source that has been labeled as "right-wing" by the left-wing.
2. This conditioning is so severe they believe any claims made by the right are ultimately unreliable and false to the point that they never interact with any right-leaning content at all and live permanently in a Leftist echo-chamber.
3. Furthermore, they believe everything they are told from the left-leaning "MSM" (meaning Leftist-trusted mainstream media) implicitly because without listening to both sides they have lost (or never developed) their ability to detect Leftist bias.

Leftists have been conditioned by the left-wing media to simply dismiss any claims/stories reported by the right-wing media as "dis/misinformation" unceremoniously.

This has been called the "Fox News Fallacy" by some in the past. The idea that Leftists will assume something is wrong simply because Fox News says it. It might be, but Leftists assume it's wrong reflexively and never stop to check the facts before dismissing the claims outright.

It's what led Leftists to dismiss the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation right before the election. Hell, many of them still don't believe any of it is true to this day! It's also what kept the Russian collusion hoax story alive all the way through the release of the Mueller report. It just had to be true because Leftist MSM outlets like MSNBC, CNN, The NYT, and WaPo were all saying it was true. So it must be! And yet, it was all bullshit.

Despite it all being bullshit they still view those outlets as somehow "legitimate" whereas anything right-wing is automatically fake news.

I would argue that Leftists have been conditioned to do this across the political media landscape. They're taught to reflexively dismiss any claim that comes from:

1. Trump
2. Fox News
3. OANN
4. Breitbart
5. Barstool Sports
6. Any Republican in Congress especially the MAGA wing, unless they say something that jives with the Leftist agenda in which case they all of a sudden have "newfound respect" for that person for "telling the truth" AKA giving them what they want
7. The New York Post
8. The National Review
9. The WSJ Editorial section
10. The Gateway Pundit
11. The Daily Wire
12. Ben Shapiro
13. Michael Knowles
14. Matt Walsh
15. Jordan Peterson
16. Charlie Kirk
17. Candace Owens
18. Larry Elder
19. Thomas Sowell
20. Joe Rogan
21. Dave Portnoy
22. Ron DeSantis
23. Vivek Ramaswamy
24. Nikki Haley
25. Any podcast that's viewed as being to the right of Mao in its orientation

Now, am I saying that right-leaning people aren't dismissive of the Leftist MSM too? That people like Trump and others on the right don't call out the Leftist MSM for being fake news?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. SO SAVE IT!!

I am saying this as a former Leftist who used to dismiss the right out of hand just like I'm saying they all still do. The right dismisses Leftists MSM outlets like:

1. MSNBC
2. CNN
3. Bloomberg
4. CNBC
5. The NYT
6. Wahington Post
7. Huffington Post
8. The Atlantic
9. Vox
10. Slate
11. Salon
12. Pod Save America
13. The Daily Show
14. Late Night "Comedy" shows (Fallon/Kimmel/Colbert/Oliver)
15. Any Democrat in Congress

But the key difference is people on the right dismiss these outlets because THEY LISTEN TO IT FIRST, and then disagree with it based on their principles. They can at least articulate what the Leftist position is, steel-man that argument, and then respond to it with their counter-argument.

Leftists can't seem to do that because they don't really know what the right-leaning arguments actually are. They only have a heavily biased, filtered idea of what their arguments are because they learn everything they know about conservatives from other Leftists and through the filter of these Leftist MSM outlets.

Since they can't detect the bullshit they just swallow it whole. They will unironically say that any claim that MSNBC is the same type of propaganda as Fox News is "HuRr DurR muH FaLsE EqUivaLenCy!" when it's clearly equivalent. Just not to them.

See they agree with MSNBC. So to them, it's not propaganda. Because they can't detect it. But their BS radars go haywire for Fox News because they've been well-conditioned to respond that way.

Normal people in the middle are able to tell that Fox News and OANN are red Kool-aid and that CNN and MSNBC are blue Kool-aid. It's all Kool-aid, and it doesn't stop being Kool-aid just because all of a sudden you like the flavor. It doesn't stop being propaganda just because you agree with it.

But to a Leftist that's a false equivalency because one is clearly sssssssssssssooooooooo much worse than the other and they play that game all the time. It's because they either can't detect left-wing bias, or they're lying, and an active participant in the propaganda.

In a nutshell, Leftists seem to believe that right-wing sources are pure disinformation while their left-wing sources are springs of pure truth. They seem to believe that hypocrisy is unique to the right and impossible for the Left. Either because their ability to detect bullshit on their own side is compromised, or because they are dishonest and acting in bad faith.

I believe this is because they are trapped in Leftist echo-chambers that reinforce those ideas daily, and without ever breaking out of those echo-chambers they begin to resemble the people who stayed in the cave in Plato's allegory.

They remain trapped, believing the shadows cast on the wall (AKA the propaganda spoon-fed to them by the Leftist MSM) are all there is to the world, and that there is no greater truth that lies outside the cave.

There is only the truth their favorite propaganda reinforcement channel tells them to believe. And the number one thing those channels tell them to believe is to NEVER believe anything an evil right-wing source tells them.
