I’m so tired of living in Japan and teaching

I’m at a point where being here is exhausting physically, mentally, and financially. I loved teaching but now I’m burnt out and I’ve realized (after almost 7 years of being here) Japan is a country to visit not to live. The xenophobia here is so rife it’s insane (this coming from an African-American). I could move back to the US but I don’t know what I’ll do for work and, at 33 years old, I don’t want to end up living with my mother.
