I got a job, exactly where I wanted it, with the career I wanted but then I got horrible hours. Averaged out about 8 hours a week. It's not right, at all.
I'm in debt for $700 in utilities, because I accepted the job, and took it, after a month of no work, and I was desperate to have it as it was in the perfect location and exactly the career path I wanted. I screwed myself by getting that job.
I was expected to stay available at a moments notice, while only getting those 8 hours a week. I couldn't do it. My bills were piling up, I was stressed non-stop, and I couldn't find another job while being expected to be available at a moments notice.
The worst thing is. i loved working there, absolutely loved helping customers, and I was happy with the job itself. But the hours and pay were horrible.
So, right now, I want to keep going, keep trying, and do the best I can to get by. But I'm not happy about this current corporate culture in the United States that treats workers like garbage.
