I don't care if an identity is weird
Post Body

This whole debate shows up time and time again, and I can never fathom how people can find the energy to complain about other people just doing things that make them happy. This is absolutely a "me being chronically online" thing, but I need to get this off my chest.

Let's say, for example, someone identifies as wafflegender. Xe use xe/xir pronouns. Great! Good for xem. Let people be weird or silly. Life is already pretty shitty, if it makes xem feel better, sure. It's easy enough to replace the pronouns in text, and you can always just ask for clarification.

Let's take another example. Otherkin. They're fine. If you want to identify as a bear, be a bear. If you want to identify as Godzilla, be Godzilla. Spiritual or psychological why should anybody care. There's wars going on. People are starving to death. There's far too many actual issues in the world, why are people getting pissed over someone identifying as something silly? Put that energy to something productive.

I want to make it clear, I am not condoning "transabled" stuff because that is genuinely offensive. I'm not talking about people who claim to be "hitlerkin", I'm talking about people who wear masks and tails and have fun. People who collect flags like my body collects lipomas.

I don't want to hear someone cry about "waaah some kid identifies as toothless from how to train your dragon and it makes me angryyyy". Go cry me a river and talk to my thyroid that I evicted because of the over 40 nodules in it (Unclear where it ended up after that). There's bigger problems then people being happy.
