I was very close friends with this girl and we hung out every day for months. We were solely nothing but friends until one day we decided to go out on a date. Everything went perfectly fine until she kissed me. Afterwards she completely regretted her action and was swift to tell me that it would never happen again and that we were going back to being friends which I was okay with.

The next day while at the gym I received a text from her stating that we are not friends anymore and that we are not to speak ever again. (This was very hard for me since we had hung out every day for the past few months and also had multiple classes together.) She also told me not to tell anyone that we had kissed.

In the next coming days when people started to notice that we were not hanging I explained that we had went on a date and kissed and it didn't go well so we decided to go our separate ways. I said it without any harmful intent but just to inform people of what had happened.

The girl caught wind of this and began to tell people that I had forced myself on her and made her kiss me. (This was not true and she was the on that initiated and kissed me.) As the rumor grew it slowly transformed from making her kiss me to that I had raped her. Not wanting to seem like a liar she proceeded to continue to feed into the rumors and agree with anything anyone would say about it. She even went as far as to bring her dad in to try and get me kicked out of school.

This caused all of my friends to drop me and stay friends with her.

After about a month of battling my emotions and depression I was able to make it out of the shadow of her rumors and find a good group of friends.

Fast forward a year later... People began to see her for who she is and realize that I am not in the wrong. One of these people was one of the girls old best friends. Through school and an internship me and this girl became very close and it quickly turned into a relationship.

For the first 3 months of us dating we hid it from the girl but it eventually made its way to her. Right after finding out she proceeded to post a picture of my girlfriend with the words (Dating a Rapist is disgusting) We received some back lash but it quickly passed and we continued on.

About a month later the girl went and contacted my girlfriends parents sending them messages about how I was a rapist and that I would do to the same things to their daughter. They forced us to break up and not see eachother anymore (I am deathly in love with this girl and willing to fight for her)

I am worried at this point on what to do. I have had no contact with this girl since the day she said we are not friends anymore. It is a year and a half later and she is still trying to ruin my life. I am at a critical point in my life where I am getting accepted into colleges and fear for what she might do next.

I just need my life back and to not always be worried about what this girl will do to me. I am struggling to sleep and this girl is ruining my life but I can't retaliate or talk to her without being looking worse than her. I have been taking the high road for a year and a half but am struggling to continue on it. I need my girlfriend back and to be able to move into the next chapter of my life and leave this issue behind.
