So Reddit I was asked out on a date by a guy , so while I was laying down on the couch my friend looked me in the face and said “ are you sure you are still going out on that date with that big pimple on ur face ? That guy must really love you “ After I responded hostile she claimed that she said that the guy must really like me because I’m going out with a pimple on my face and she was only complementing me ………….. am I wrong for being upset ? Like why would that even be a mention of something to say? I asked her if she’s the only person that people should like just the way she is .

It turned into a big argument and her response was the way she phrased it and that I am too emotional n easily offended.

Ps. Her big argument is she didn’t say are you sure you are going which doesn’t even mean a different thing if she leaves that out.
