I see so many posts about “my s/o does this weird thing” and they post a photo or video of some type of behavior that would be considered unbecoming of a mature person, let alone a partner. And it never fails to make me wonder 1) how those people got a partner, and 2) if those partners appreciate the fact that they have someone they could hold close and be snuggled up with. There are many people out there who know how to be proper partners (men and women alike) yet simply don’t yet have their person. We/they are unable to enjoy the simple little treasures afforded in a relationship like holding your partner nice and close without interruption or rush after a long day, not to mention being able to have someone to hold through the night. That shit will never be overrated imo. It’ll always be a thing of comforting beauty to be able to embrace the one you care for for hours on end at night.
Maybe I’m just sick of being single. Maybe a lot of us out there are. I have patience though, cuz love is never found with haste; but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t so over this whole ‘watch those who aren’t good partners bask in the things you’ve been patiently waiting for’ deal.
Yeah, this is a bit of a vent rant, but I also think I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Alas, we will all one day find the love we’re meant for. I just wish my ‘one day’ was “yesterday.” 🥲
Rant over.
