I’m reading the English translation of Childhood (Copenhagen trilogy book 1) by Tove Ditlevsen and the paragraphs are so long. It doesn’t bother me but it’s distinct.
Post Body

I haven’t read many works in translation but that is my aim this year, and I’m wondering if long paragraphing is a notable feature of Danish* lit, a feature of this particular author, or even a feature of the translation itself.

I’d love thoughts! I couldn’t find any discussion of her work in my search of the sub.
