Senario:
When I play windranger I ship clarities to keep my mana high while I'm farming. If I get an item like an orchid I usually just buy less clarities, but is that correct? Should you always have a clarity going?
Clarities give 6*25 mana each, 150 mana.
Windranger mana talent is 1.5 mana regen per second. (Do you even take this talent?)
Orchid gives 4 mana per second.
Power shot has a 9(7.5 shard) second cooldown at max level and does 450 damage (550 with talent)
Lets break this down further. How much gold does each powershot get you?
Or lets use a different source, how much gold does a radiance get you each minute?
These farming metrics don't have a gold value because each game is different, but there is a heuristic farm speed constant from each of them - the rate they kill creeps. Standing in a wave and last hitting each creep takes more time than hitting a few times and powershotting, and thus is less farm efficient.
Time
Gold Cost
Mana Cost
These are the metrics I want to measure here. I don't want to consider space and creeps on the map as factors for this, as this causes the metric to become far too situational.
You can line up most camps for 2 camp powershots
TLDR; On windranger or other heroes, should you have a clarity going 100% of the time while farming, or should you conserve mana and buy less/no clarities
