Playing ranked with ping

I've been playing ranked since some time near the start of last year, I play in EUW server from South Africa (no ranked in our server). Ping is about 160-200. Obviously this makes laning mid especially hard, and just managed to climb to Archon IV spamming Underlord in offlane (focus on macros and easy spells).

I was just wondering how much ping other players think is acceptable, if there are any MMR players who have managed to reach the higher ranks despite their ping. I want to reach Legend soon but want to hear about others making it higher than me with similar / worse ping :)
