In 2017, fire chief in small Louisiana town is alerted to fire at his own home. The fire and fully engaged and the house burns to the ground. His wife’s body is found inside the remains Autopsy shows she was shot in the head but was deceased before the fire bc there was no smoke in her lungs so suicide is ruled out Husband was having an affair- but is alibied at work until start of the fire, and credit card purchase at McDonald’s after he left for work shows her getting breakfast (I believe he also takes and passes a polygraph) She expressed concerns about her stepson- He is alibied as working in Virginia on day of murder Her brother-in-law is convicted criminal she was also concerned about, to the point they had cameras monitoring all of their property (the drive was burned in the fire and none of the footage could be saved) But he is alibied on video as being on camera at his parents house where he was under house arrest To date, no one else has been identified as a potential suspect or charged
One thing I haven’t seen. The mistress also worked at the fire department office. I haven’t seen whether she was alibied out as well
