Middle eastern christian here ! It’s so confusing to me why so many western christians, specifically Americans, are heavily pro-Israel. Israel does not treat middle eastern christians well, they bombed our churches multiple times, they bombed Bethlehem on Christmas and currently in Gaza they have bombed the 3rd oldest church in the world and sniped women and children that were inside. Even the Pope said that the IDF are acting like « terrorists » because of their inhuman actions.

I feel like this comes from racism, they hate Arabs and more specifically muslims but I don’t see how it’s compatible with Christianity at all. I saw many of them just rejoicing about the bombings in Gaza and said it was deserved and honestly it just pains me to be of the same religion as those people. I have been hate-crimed multiple times by Western Christians bc im Arab. I feel like it goes against the teachings of love that Jesus constantly did.

I know some justify it by saying Israel is a holy land and mentioned in the Bible and God’s chosen people etc etc but Jesus himself said that there isn’t God’s chosen people anymore it’s literally why the disciples preached the Gospel all over the world and why we are christians today. He even predicted the fall of the Temple and Israel and so I just don’t understand why christians are so attached to this idea of Israel even though Jesus clearly wasnt? Can anyone explain if possible? 🙂

Yeah no im not replying anymore. Apparently, it’s justifiable for people like me who were just born in this part of the world to be bombed to death. Nothing i say will convince you people that Middle Eastern civilians, muslims and christians, are humans and deserve to live without the threat of death looming over their head constantly.

I guess after the US killed 1 million people in Iraq, our dehumanisation is predictable. And I sincerely hope none of you will ever use again our persecution as middle eastern christians to fulfil ur political agendas, as you clearly don’t care.
