Ok Friends, I think this is it for a while. Not even sure how I got here or what led to this but i arrived home to three new beautiful knives.

1 Nakagawa x Tadokoro 180?mm (more like 165mm) Ginsan Kiritsuke Santoku wide bevel mirror polished with an absolute stunner of a custom buckeye burl with red vintage poker chip spacer handle from Sugi Cutlery - first impressions… Wow!! I mean the fit and finish on the blade is next level. I can’t wait to put this to work but I have no doubts that it will preform exceedingly. But then there is this art piece of a handle!!! I mean cone on. If you look closely enough there appears to be an eagle in the burl pattern that I just love. It’s like a sneaky Easter egg

2 Hado Sumi B1D 180mm Kiritsuke Santoku - I’ve been wanting try Hado for sometime now but was swayed away from anything but the B1D.. well I randomly stumbled across a shop in Italy (thank you google translate) who had a few Hado B1D knives in stock. Although there website did not offer shipping to the US, I was not having that and a few WhatsApp convos later and this beautiful lil K-tip beauty was on her way to me. - First impression, great f&f, feels a fit blade heavy, very flat. Similar and yet arguably different that the Nakagawa

3 Tetsujin 210mm ginsan kasumi gyuto - I almost wished they were slower shipping this because it feels over shadowed with the Nakagawa and Hado but it is certainly top notch. Amazing f&f and seems to be incredibly sharp ootb, as it kept catching on the cutting board when taking picture. Needed some more SS gyuto and thus absolutely filled that hole.

Bonus# NHD and a knife I don’t think I previously shard. Picked up this beautiful turquoise and dyed burl handle made by RSK from a guy off the FB group, plan is to put it n my Matsubara B2 Wavy Face Kiri Clever. My wife got this for me when I said I got a restock notice but was trying to be responsible and we had several home projects going on..Well there is a reason I married her. She ordered it and didn’t even think to stash or hide it. Such a great knife and love the height and weight. I think the handle will take it out get the edge although it’s not something I’ve dive before.

Now for the sad part… I think I’m done…honestly I can’t think of what else I would want other than placing an order and going to Japan for a Takada Suiboku (which will be happening) I mean maybe a Jiro and/or a Shigefusa. But I think I’m good where I am at first now.. that being said, I claimed I was done before and clearly that was not true. I’d also be remised if I didn’t note that there should be at least two more NKD’s from me with one non-J knives that I have already paid for and the also on the waitlist for another Shibata Tinker series knife. No eta or clue on either of those though. Thanks for all the support and encouragement towards the continuance of my addiction!!
