I’m not proud of this story but consider this the perfect example of ‘fuck around and find out’.

Fairly early on in the relationship with my ex, I had a liberal attitude to phones and her going oh my phone.

She seemed happy to reciprocate and whilst we almost never looked on them without permission, we would use one another’s phones for silly things.

For example, ‘oh that will be in your search history, use my phone’ or ‘yours is upstairs, just use mine’.

As I saw instagram stories on my girls phone I saw a name kept popping up, liking hers. A male.

This name popped up on most stories if I ever had her phone and checked. I put 2 and 2 together that this was an ex boyfriend.

She’d mentioned an ex later on when she was younger, around 23, and it was clear it was this guy.

I felt uneasy about the fact he still had her on insta and followed her and liked her stories.

One day I had been festering on this and how I had no ex’s of any descriptions on my phone or social media

One day, after a year of dating, I noticed she had left me in charge of her phone whilst she went downstairs in our building to get a takeaway from the main door, which we’d ordered using the app on her phone.

For some reason she was gone a while and curiosity got the better of me.

I found messages with this guy pre-dating her and I.

I found a very large number of nudes sent and received and the usual chat about boring stuff that couples do.

The nudes he sent her made me blush and feel a very weird cocktail of jealous, embarrassed, humiliated and stunned.
