I didn’t believe him until he proved it.

This was the summer after I graduated from University and I had been seeing a guy for a few weeks. We met through mutual friends and clicked right away. He wasn’t my usual type and to be fair, I don’t think I was his. We were chalk & cheese, But both very career focussed. I was the Engineer with my degree and he was an apprentice bricklayer. We joked that I’d draw up the plans and he’d build it 😂.
