Hi y'all - I'm sure many of you have noticed a certain pattern in undesirable submissions lately. We want to make it as straightforward as possible to shut these threads down. Since we can't hover over the feed at all times, we're going to have to work together as a community.

To that effect, as soon as you notice some of the following features, do us all a favor and report it immediately:

• A very new account (sockpuppet indication)

• Posting the same kind of stuff over multiple subreddits

• Repeating a type of material previously dumped in here

• Submissions mentioning discussions on other subreddits

Don't waste time trying to talk sense to the user(s) in question. Don't attack them either (remember to always be on your best behavior in here). The threads will be locked, and everything posted by them will be removed. Even though they'll just create new accounts, they'll be permanently banned once again, as soon as they're caught.

Reddit admins are on the case(s), but there's not much else we can do in the meantime. There are no tools for this sort of thing. It's up to us to take out the trash.

At any rate, keep doing what you're doing in general. This is a nice place, and we want to keep it that way. :)
