Why do we have such a strong drive to become popular?
Post Body

I was looking at various analytics on my website and blog, essentially all the spying that my CMS provides me. Low viewership, low retention, poor sales funnel, few subscribers and so on.

My website kind of started as a passion project for me. It was a way to express my freedom and took the biggest risk of actually putting my real name on it. There's was something liberating about showing the world what was inside my head.

Every once in a while, I write a blog post that in my mind secretly thinking it will go viral and increase my viewership dramatically but it gets ignored like everything else.

Within myself, my own gut, I don't care if I become famous or not. My blog is my sandbox and whatever I'm doing there is out my love for the content on it.

However, I always find myself with an incredibly strong drive to become popular. I want thousands of people to read my articles and make a ton of money from selling my products. Where does it come from?
