Hi r/trucks,
I'm looking around for my first vehicle (that I will buy myself) and my budget is $10k. I can do minor work mechanically, but nothing major. I'll be using it mainly for getting to college (1000 miles away), driving roommates around, and moving furniture around. But I don't plan on moving heavy stuff around constantly.
So I found a 2010 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew for $9.9k with 171,000 miles on it. Is the mileage too high for me to consider this vehicle? Also does anyone know about any reliability issues with this year and model and what to watch out for? I read around a bit and it seems that the cam phaser and spark plug issues were fixed from '07 onwards for the 5.4? If I do get this truck any recommendations for preventative maintenance that I should do in addition to the list on the sidebar?
Thanks in advance!
