I have a masters degree and come from a well educated family. I work a comfortable office job, and except for my girlfriend and a few drivers i know, I have gotten nothing but shit from family and coworkers about wanting to drive. The money just isn't there for the degrees I have, and I actually enjoy hard work. I wouldn't put myself into this situation if I didn't think I will be successful.
I put myself through CDL school, tagged along with any driver who would let me, asked a million questions, took a driver to dinner to let me practice in his truck.
To ease my guilt, I am using my vacation time at work to start a driving job, so I have something to fall back on if I hate driving.
Just wondering if you guys received shit for starting a truck driving career?
