CDL Renew hazmat issue

So my license expires on 12/31. And I've been looking for my birth certificate while I am waiting for my passport to come back and now, I needed to find my birth certificate so I can show proof of citizenship for TSA so I can renew my hazmat endorsement.

I have to go get refingerprinted and such Monday. But I highly doubt my passport will arrive before I have to leave. I can't reschedule further back in fear I will not get the threat assessment back in time.

Has anyone ever renewed their CDL without the hazmat and then added it back on later?

Or am I screwed, and need to retest?
