I've been driving local flatbed for 8 years hauling mainly Steel I'm relocating closer to family and I'm getting tired of flatbed. My wrist and shoulder is starting to hurt plus the guys in the warehouse don't use metal bands to bend the material properly they load me half ass I think it's time for a change. I found the septic tanker job right in the town where I want to be 7:00 a.m. start time full benefits nice looking Peterbilt straight truck pays about the same what I make now driving class a split axle double sleeper 300 mile radios . Seems like septic straight truck the job is much easier driving only 50 mile radius. So pretty much the same money half the size of the truck don't have to mess with chains and straps or worrying about guys loading me half ass LOL. The only thing am I really going to smell like poop all day I delivered to my local Johnny on the spot a couple times and the whole facility I just couldn't take it no more. I guess I would have to go to sewage plants will I get used to it or will I come home smelling like poop LOL. I see a lot of those guys driving sewage tankers most of them seem very clean I would not want to deal with Porta pot toilets for sure but this job just seems like it's straight tanker. Do any of you guys have experience with hauling sewage around does it really smell that bad? Will I smell after work? I'm going to keep a secret what I really do LOL
