Travel sight see as an owner operator
Post Body

So I'm a 12-year company truck driver thinking about becoming a owner operator. I'm wondering some of you guys I want to also travel and see places not just the road behind my steering wheel. In the first round for example pick up a load in Jersey go to Florida In Florida can I just park my truck and go to the beach for a day or half a day and come back have a load ready from Florida to maybe Vegas and then drop that off spend the day hiking or at the casino while waiting for my next load or have the load lined up. Obviously this is not going to be the norm every time or any close to it but it's nice to sightsee and explore the country.

Can I just park at the truck stop or the rest area and Uber myself somewhere leave my truck for a day or half a day? Maybe ask the delivery if I could park my truck there while I go explore? I'm sure I could find the hotel or motel with truck parking but I rather save money.
