Medical Card question
Post Body

My step dad is a truck driver. in March of 2023 he got sick and went to the hospital, and they said it might have been a stroke.  The official diagnosis is actually has a question mark on it.  The DOT took away his medical card and told him to try again in one year.   However, he has been to several other doctors including a neurologist, and all have cleared him to drive a truck once again with no evidence of a stroke happening. With the original diagnosis being a misdiagnosis, does he qualify to get his medical card back or does he still have to wait out the one year time span?

If he does qualify to get it back, does he need to get a new physical, or just send the paperwork to the DOT showing he is cleared?
