Word of advise to the new guys
Post Body

A brand new driver scraped his trailer against the back corner of my trailer this morning in the rest area. Guys, slow down, go as slow as you need to not hit things, take all the room you can/need. If you need to hop out and ask the driver you are about to hit to pull-up/back-up, do it. They won't be happy they have to move, but they will be happy that you took the time to not involve them in an accident. And if you do make contact with something, DO NOT KEEP GOING!!! Ger out and see how you can get out of it, or if it is possible for the other driver to move to prevent further damage.

Also, he didn't have current IFTA stickers on his truck. Guys, make sure you have all the permits you need to operate your truck so you don't get tickets. Luckily the guy that hit me today didn't do any damage past a scratch, but take your time. And when I walked up to his truck to talk to him, I noticed he didn't have a 2023 IFTA, so I told him to tell his company he needs one.

It seems some of these trainers aren't doing right by the new guys, so take some time to pass down some knowledge and advice. I'll just leave you with one of my company's mottos, "there's no shortcut to success" take your time and be safe yall.
