Hello everyone! First time poster over here. Normally I hang out over on r/overlanding, but I think my days of the RTT are about over. I've had my RTT for about 5 years and she's treated me well and we've had many great adventures, but I think it's time to sell it (if I can).
I've been looking into the Palomino pop-up style (is there a different word/phrase for those?) truck camper. I have a 98 K1500, with a 3/4 ton rear end and air bags. I camp/hike quite a bit so I thought something like this would help set up/tear down of camp. I've also had gear stolen from my truck and I think my gear would be a little safer inside a truck camper?
Anything in particular I should be looking for in brands/builds? Are these types a pain to add solar/mount things to because of the build?
Sorry if these questions have been asked a time or two.
