Outside-the-box pairing for duets?
Post Body

My wife, who is not yet musically-educated, wants to pick up an instrument to play along with my tenor trombone. We've found a lot of suggestions on which traditional band and orchestra instruments play nice with trombone, but she's not particularly interested in clarinet, violin, or any of the other usual "band"-type suggestions

What "alternative" choices might go well (in sonic terms) with the trombone? Nothing very large and space-consuming, please and thanks.
