I’m a bit confused wtf even is trivium

I’ve loved trivium for a while now, even have two guitars signed by Matt but I still can’t figure out what playlist their shit fits, some would fit very well into a melodic tech death category but they have a lot of core influences yet they sound so out of place in my metalcore playlist (I know poser🖕🏼) but I really want to know your guys take on this because I found they sound similar to some revocation just less extreme.
