I lived in Denver, CO for 10 years and we party REAL HARD. I was told the Trini's party ethic can't be beat and I did my best to keep up. I was skeptical but damn, you guys really do go hard in the paint! They carried me home from Juvee...

I've never been to a big event with people getting drunk and didn't see even one fight in the US. Only person that made me feel unwelcome was an American woman, who ironically, wasnt there with a Trini but told me I didn't belong 🤷‍♂️.

Never saw so many beautiful women in one spot. And not just Carnival. It's gotta be the seafood and tropical fruit, ya? You Trini women give Medellin, Colombia a run for its money.

The doubles, bake n shark (I was hoping it had bacon on it, sigh), curry goat, stewed pumpkin, 🌶 sauce, etc. It was amazing.

Unique to TnT highlights:

• Woke up naked on the bathroom floor of my gf friend's house. She woke me up and asked me to move so she could shower. I was horrified but she just laughed and said Hey it's Carnival.

• Fell into a big hole in a sidewalk and a stray dog helped me out.

• Wandered San Juan at night, near Leventil and asked some gangsters where I could get some Carib and they drove me to this guy's house. We drank a bunch of beers and they drove me home because it wasnt safe to walk there looking like a tourist.

• Men hitting on my gf right in front of me. Women hitting on me infront of my gf.

• Drank Puncheon with some fisherman at the waterfall in Castara beach Tobago. I was shooting it and I got immediate respect. Apparently y'all sip it. But why waste time? 🤷‍♂️

• Got a second degree sunburn in the shade at Pigeon Point.

• Ordered a regular lineup/fade and the barber spray painted my head and beard without asking.

• Got pulled out of the band parade by a 300lb woman who aggressively wined on me.

• My gf encouraged me to wine with crazy hot women, she got to wine on big handsome fellas. My American ex wife would get jealous if I even looked at women in skimpy outfits.

• I got to be the exotic one for the first time in my life. Got targeted for wines and pulled out of line dozens of times. Pretty cool feeling.

• Realized how much I curse is considered wildly impolite.

• Couldn't wear my camouflage short shorts. Sigh.

Good fuckin times! Can't wait to come back. You guys have a beautiful country with beautiful people and should have a lot of pride.
