local sewing lessons?

We have 2 sewing machines and a room full of material but cant work our machines to save our lives. We have some elementary issues as far as use i believe could be fixed once shown how to use the appropriate dials at the correct time and how.Was wondering if anyone knew of classes in the area that arnt a quilt shop or anyone who knows thier way around a machine that could help us get on our way crafting!
