Mysterious fossil

I’m a fairly new player (level 37). I’ve always had this mysterious fossil order and I’d like to finish it but I’m not sure what I need or where to find it. Searching seems to indicate I need to use the bucket (that had shells) is that right? Do the items I need for the fossil produce right out of that bucket? Is it just random? Thank you
