“Future off-gridder”
Post Body
Is an amazing arrangement of words. Every time more bullshit occurs relating to rent or work, I think a little harder about starting a queer trans off-grid commune type setup. As soon as I find remote work, it’s over for my current job and its blatant discrimination.
Places I’d like to live:
- Sailboat: pros include having a movable house, natural beauty, and the cool factor. Cons include not being able to live with anyone who gets seasick easily, less room for books, and harder to have a garden.
- Organic farm: pros include space and plants and having chickens for fresh eggs. Cons include costs of land and starting a business, plus probable distance from civilization.
- Basically anywhere in the mountains: pros include natural beauty, fantastic hiking, and no neighbors. Cons include probable distance from civilization, difficulty of having a garden, and inaccessibility when there’s weather. Although getting truly snowed in might be fun...
Anyone else trying to achieve the Gen Z dream of an off-grid home with your partner/s, friends, kids, pets, etc, as applicable?
