Any good mods tpf2? (preferably no graphics mods as my fps tends to dip enough tbh)

On my second playthrough of a free mode thing now after managing to figure out how the game works and remember being told mods are good. Except there's a ton and I don't wanna just download a bunch of vehicles because there's enough to overwhelm me.
Are there any must have mods or collections on steam that would be good for a new comer?
