Performance issues in later game

Okay, so one of my leats favourite things about train fever was the performance later on in the game. but this is even worse. I only have 3 towns with buses/trams, I have every town connected with a train station though and cargo going everywhere. I get about 15 fps on the lowest settings, but that's not the problem. 15fps is a bit playable in tycoon games, it's the stutter. You know the auto save stutter we all know and love. I get that about every 5-10 seconds. It's unplayable. I have a [email protected], a 780 Ti and 16gb of ram, my PC is in no way low end. Are there any tricks to stop/reduce the stutter/increase the fps?
