It’s healthier for us to not be reliant on trans spaces/subreddits

Post Body

Spaces like these are helpful and have their purpose so of course we should use it but we shouldn’t be looking to find other places that cater to trans people in the idea that we’ll have an easier and better experience.

It’s good for us to experience being treated like regular men and women in spaces that have shared interests. Whatever interests you have; weight lifting, art, fashion, skateboarding, makeup, collecting, etc it will always be better to be in subreddits that focus on that instead of it being another trans subreddit.

I personally go to subreddits and other internet spaces for gay men because that’s what I am. I don’t seek out trans friendly or gay trans spaces. I want to be treated like other men so that’s how I present myself on there and I get positive results. I also go to interest specific places for shows and hobbies.

Don’t try to fill your time in trans spaces but instead in regular ones that anyone no matter who they are can enjoy and be allowed in. You’re going to have a better time and it will be healthier for your mental health and concept of self.
