I am exploring various options, foreign and domestic (USA). I have had consultations with three doctors, two of them FFS experts and got a price list from one other. Obviously some women need more done and some less. Also, prices obviously range widely depending on whether they are in the USA, in Europe, or in Mexico, Argentina, Thailand, etc. I have had quotes ranging from (US) $73,000 to as "little" as $15,000.

My main question to you is this:

How did you pay for your surgery? Did you end up going to a foreign country (Spain, Thailand, etc.) to save the money? Did you somehow, miraculously, get insurance to pay for some or all of it? Did you take out loans, rack up credit card debt, cash in retirement money, or are you lucky enough to be able to drop $50,000 on surgery?

I realize people's finances are kind of taboo for some people, but I keep asking myself how will I pay for my eventual surgery.
