10 July 2028 was the day that the world changed forever.

A mothership half the size of the moon had suddenly appeared in the Oort cloud, some 50 000 Astronomical Units (or nearly a light year) from the earth. Miraculously, SETI was able to initiate communication almost instantly despite the distance.

Over the next day or two, Earth's top astronomers, biologists, and anthropologists exchanged information with these beings. They were able to communicate in a number of Earth languages, though they seemed to prefer english seeing as how widespread it was. Humanity learned a few things about them: they called themselves the Andromeda, they were a Type II civilization and they came from the Epsilon Eridani system. They were extremely similar to humans in biology. In fact, some of them could be mistaken for some of humanity.

Notably, though, they had one major difference: they were genderless. They all had mammary organs (breasts), inseminators (penises), and female-type reproductive systems.

Something happened when earth scientists explained that humans were gendered. The Andromeda ceased communications almost immediately, and the world watched as they set a course for earth. Though some thought they had peaceful intentions, panic set in when they were almost a quarter of the way to earth after only 24 more hours.

The world scrambled to defend itself. Years of globalization, humanitarian crises, and climate change had left the world completely outgunned, but humanity nonetheless mobilized for a fight.

Not much information was recorded about the One Week War, as it was called. The usual story is that the Andromeda bombarded major cities from orbit, then landed millions upon millions of shock troops in Europe, Asia, and Africa, before invading the Americas by land, sea, air, and space. Humanity fought bravely, but it was all over before it even started.

Many braced for the end, for a mass extermination, but the Andromeda had other plans. Because the two civilizations were so similar in appearance, they decided that humanity, if ridded of its gendered biology, could join them in their conquest of the stars.

The Andromeda set outposts across earth. They established large administration zones, doing away with the earth's governments. They seized control of cities, industry, roads, rail, airports, spaceports, and more. They established a new occupational military force, the Earth Civil Guard, or ECG.

Then, they created the MegaPlexes. These were enormous, city-sized monoliths with the sole purpose of converting gendered humans into genderless Andromeda. No one really knew what went on inside, but they knew it probably included brainwashing of some kind. Emerging Andromeda would mentally not resemble their old selves at all.

New laws came about. Humans were banned from certain jobs. Then they were banned from travel outside their cities. Then they were banned from owning locks on their door.

Then the Andromeda banned human reproduction, saying that only reproduction involving an Andromeda or through the ECG-administered Breeding Factories was legitimate. As such, marriages between Andromeda and Human became more and more common.

The world had, in fact, changed forever. And as humanity was being wiped off the face of the earth, it seemed hopeless for the few who had not yet given up.

You have not yet given up.

Today is 1 January 2030. It has been about a year and a half since the Andromeda first contacted humanity. The earth has about 4 billion humans remaining, and about 4 billion Andromeda.

You are a member of a resistance group. You could be a bored homemaker who is tired of seeing their earth crumble, or a university student enraged by the Andromeda's destruction of earth history and culture, or a soldier who served in the One Week War, or maybe someone else entirely.

The resistance is secretive, and meeting with them is difficult. As is obtaining weapons and equipment. All you have is a cracked cell phone that your contact smuggled you, which is the only secure line of communication you have with them.

You have the chance to liberate Earth. But it won't be easy.

Okay! I wrote way more than I needed to. I will summarize what I want out of this RP in a few bullet points.

• You are a human. You are not a futa.

• This RP is designed to be a challenge. There are many opportunities for bad ends.

• This RP will include dark themes. If you don't want that, steer clear.

• I want this to be as freeform as possible. You can do whatever you want. If you want to grope some random person on the side of the street, you can.

• That said, I will give you some plot hooks and push you in some directions. Feel free to ignore them.
