(hi! If you like this, shoot me a message with your ideas, kinks, and preferences! I like the idea of "submission in good faith," or rather of me being a Dom you can trust to take care of you...even if I have my fun with you from time to time.)
You were awake and conscious, but having trouble remembering words, names, and faces. You didn't know your favorite music, or even your childhood pets. It was especially heartbreaking when you didn't remember me, your husband of six years. This distressed us both, and you became so agitated they had to sedate you again. This was when the doctor explained the groundbreaking procedure which might save your personality.
"Now, Artificial Intelligence is nowhere near the level that would compete with your wife's mind - but it excels at very specific, logical tasks. Now, the damage was spread throughout all her lobes. With time, these implanted chips can learn to carry out the functions of the dead brain tissue."
"So...what does that mean in everyday life?" I asked.
"It means the AI will help her feel the appropriate emotional reactions to things, and help her remember important details and relations. It will be up to you to fill in the blanks - you can connect to her while she sleeps with a laptop. You can provide her with images and connected ideas - such as who her parents are, or places she might have forgot, or even notes about her boss's mean tendencies."
I was dumbfounded, unable to form words, but amazed that such an opportunity existed at all. Thankfully, the Doctor pressed ahead.
"There isn't much time sir. If you'll sign this affidavit, promising you won't exploit this legal authority and will attempt to recreate her personality in good faith, I can begin right away."
"Yeah, yeah," I said. Throughout this conversation, my eyes never left your still body on the hospital bed. I tore my gaze away long enough to scribble my signature, then took your hand.
"I'm gonna bring you back, sweetheart, you hear me? You're the love of my life, and we'll laugh every day like old times. I promise."
