Hello, as the title states, I'm going into my senior year and I'm interested in doing what I can to potentially transfer to preferably Brown from a Canadian university I will be attending. I noticed on the wiki that taking initiative in your extracurriculars instead of simply joining projects or administrations perpetuated by others is a very influential factor, but my question is how exactly is this done? I notice astounding achievements from people who get into these top-tier schools with them having done research on a topic (which sounds to me similar to getting a doctorate) or starting a long-standing community service organization, and both seem extremely out of reach to me, and right now I can only fathom joining a club, and getting an internship. I'm also wondering whether the school that you're transferring from as well as the grades that you achieved in high school are relevant or not. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
