UCR to UCLA

Post Body

Hi,

I'm currently doing my undergrad at UCR but I'm considering and hoping to transfer out and apply to UCLA.. I'm honestly not satisfied and really want some change in my life lol. I don't know how plausible this option is though. I believe I am able to transfer during winter quarter of next academic school year? I'm in my second year as a business economics major and am junior standing. not sure if transferring is my best bet though. I feel like I'm have everything set to graduate in time, if not earlier but I love the location and the prestige that ucla offers i got some friends there like how could i not want to transfer.

I would love some advice and steps I should take to make this happen.

Fellow Highlander! Like what the other comment said, UCLA does not admit senior transfers (pg 34-35). However, Berkley, Irvine, Davis, and Santa Cruz have some senior admits if you want to try. Also, make sure you have your letter of reciprocity before you transfer. This is when you complete all your breadth courses for your college.

I recommend just finishing out at UCR since you are already set on graduating on time/early. It's a plus if you graduate early as you will save a lot of money. I'm not sure what you want to do after college, but applying for grad school for prestige is a possible route you can take.
