Teach me basics?

I have an oddball question for this group. First of all I love all your posts!!
When I was growing up my parents didn't want me to learn basic automotive skills, and so I only know how to check washer fluid and oil, and top up oil.
I really want to learn some car basics but can't find anyone to teach me.
If anyone is in Oshawa, Whitby or GTA and wants to teach this trans girl some basics I would be most grateful!!!
